Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri (30,000 pop.) a magical place not far from Agra and Taj Mahal built in the 15th century my the famous Mughal rules AKBAR. Sikir is even older than that with mention in the Mahabharat text as Saik, as well as stone aged tools dating to 1200 B.C. The town Fatehpur or Fatehabad is where you can find accommodations while Sikris the main site:

Accommodation in Fatehpur Sakri: The best place to stay is at the RTDC Bungalows, run by the Rajasthan Government (as long as there is not a local wedding booked here.)
