An interesting side trip on the way Jasailmer Fort is the Smiling Buddha nuclear testing ground. This would we an excellent idea if you have a car and driver as no buses go this route as there are no guesthouses either. What you will find is a hole that if look hard enough resembles the face of the Buddha actually smiling! Check it out.
